Brief History of Australian Mortgage Exchange:

Australian Mortgage Exchange was formed in 2000 initially to assist people that could not get finance from their banks, but who in our opinion were a good credit risk, and others who wanted to consolidate their debts into one low repayment a month.

In 2001 lo doc home loans and no financials home loans were added to our mortgage loan programs to assist the self employed and small business get the finance to buy property that bank guidelines denied them. This and debt consolidation have grown into area of business. These loans are again for credit worthy people.

In 2002 we added nonconforming loans to our programs to allow people that don't fit traditional lending guidelines on credit issues, migrant issues, job or business stability issues to buy or refinance property. So now we can assist people to get a mortgage regardless of their credit. Caution. People with it impairments can expect to pay more interest [rate for risk], and have to have a larger deposit than people with unblemished credit histories. This should be viewed as a temporary surcharge as consistently paying your loan repayments will allow us to place you into a better rate with a couple of years.
